End of Day Review
Wrap up the day with an AI-assisted review of progress and what comes next.
Overview
End of Day Review is Fokus's evening reflection routine. It helps you look back at the day, understand what was completed, and prepare for tomorrow before you stop working.
In the current planner interface, End of Day Review appears as its own card inside AI Quick Actions. Like Morning Briefing, it is controlled by a dedicated time window. In the reviewed state shown above, the configured evening window was 17:00 - 21:00.
End-of-day review is also time-based
This routine is intended for the end of the workday. Fokus can keep it enabled in settings without surfacing the generate or view action until the configured evening window starts.
What End of Day Review Is For
- Reflect on what you completed during the day.
- Review progress before tasks roll into tomorrow.
- Get a preview of what is coming next.
- Build a clearer shutdown routine instead of ending the day with an unreviewed task list.
Where to Access It
- Open a planner view such as
Kanban. - Click
AI Quick Actions. - Find the
End of Day Reviewcard. - Use the switch to enable or disable the review.
- During the active evening window, generate or open the review from the same insights flow.
The reviewed settings page also exposes additional End-of-Day Review controls inside Settings > AI Agents, including the time window and a Skip weekends option.
Common Workflow
Keep the routine enabled for the end of your day
Configure the evening review in AI Agents so Fokus knows when it should become available.
Open AI Quick Actions near the end of the day
Use the planner toolbar to check whether the review is available for the current window.
Generate or view the current review
If Fokus already prepared a report, you can open it. Otherwise, the insights flow can generate one for the current day.
Use the review to reset for tomorrow
Check what was finished, what still needs attention, and what tomorrow is likely to require.
Important Behaviors
- End of Day Review is part of the same proactive insights system as Morning Briefing.
- It is meant for evening reflection, not morning planning.
- Availability depends on the configured time window.
- Settings include a
Skip weekendsoption for users who do not want the review on weekend days. - Existing reports are managed through Captain Fokus's insights panel, which also keeps report history.
