Overview
Morning Briefing is Fokus's early-day summary routine. It is designed to give you a quick read on what matters before you start moving through your schedule.
In the current planner interface, Morning Briefing appears inside AI Quick Actions as its own card with an enable switch and a visible time window. In the reviewed state shown above, the configured window was 06:00 - 10:00, which makes it clear that this routine is time-based rather than always available all day.
Morning Briefing is window-based
Morning Briefing is meant for the start of your day. Outside the configured window, Fokus may keep the feature enabled in settings without offering the generate or view action in the current planner surface.
What Morning Briefing Is For
- Summarize your upcoming tasks, meetings, and priorities.
- Give you a quick planning check-in before work starts.
- Reduce the need to manually scan multiple screens first thing in the morning.
- Surface the most relevant information in a single AI-generated routine.
Where to Access It
- Open a planner view such as
Kanban. - Click
AI Quick Actionsin the top toolbar. - Find the
Morning Briefingcard. - Use the switch to enable or disable the routine.
- During the active time window, use the available action to generate or view the briefing.
The feature is also connected to the broader insights system, so existing briefings can be opened from Captain Fokus's insights area when a report has already been prepared.
Common Workflow
Enable the routine
Turn Morning Briefing on from Settings > AI Agents or directly from the AI Quick Actions surface.
Let Fokus use your configured time window
The app uses your saved morning window to decide when the briefing should be available.
Open or generate the briefing in the morning
When you are inside the active window, Fokus can provide the current day's summary from the insights flow.
Review the day's priorities before you begin
Use the summary as a starting point, then move into Day View or Planner to work with the actual tasks and events.

- Morning Briefing is part of the proactive suggestions system configured in
AI Agents. - The feature is tied to a user-defined time window rather than being permanently shown as an action.
- Its purpose is summary and orientation, not task creation.
