Buckets Management

Create and maintain the bucket structure that Fokus uses to organize work across projects, categories, and calendars.

Overview

The Buckets settings page is the administrative side of your planning structure. It is where you create the hierarchy that later appears in planning views, analytics, and some integrations.

What You Can Manage

  • Create top-level buckets.
  • Add child buckets directly under existing buckets.
  • Edit bucket titles, colors, parent relationships, and default calendars.
  • Expand or collapse the bucket tree while reviewing the structure.
  • Delete buckets with a confirmation step.
  • Assign a default calendar so new work in that bucket inherits the right scheduling destination.

Rules And Constraints

  • Buckets can be nested up to three levels deep.
  • Parent selection excludes invalid choices such as the bucket itself or its own descendants.
  • If a default calendar is not available, Fokus falls back to the primary calendar.
  • Bucket structure is part of the workspace, not just your personal settings.
